MEET OUR PASTOR
John Randolph, Pastor of Genesis United Methodist Church, is a lifelong native of Louisville, KY. He graduated from DuPont Manual High School, and received his Bachelor of Science degree from The University of Louisville majoring in Justice Administration with a concentration minor in Pan-African Studies. After college, John announced the divine call on his life to audaciously and unapologetically preach God’s word. John was honored with his license to preach God’s Gospel in 2013 and ordained clergy person in 2022 from Bates Memorial Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Dr. F. Bruce Williams.
John has been asked to give inspirational speeches, teach specialized Bible studies, and preach throughout the city. He has established a multi-media platform for millennial public theologians, called Jars of Clay Ministries. Rev. Randolph received his Master Of Divinity degree with a concentration in Black Church Studies from Louisville Presbyterian Theological Seminary, where he co-founded the Gayraud S. Wilmore Society of Black Seminarians during his matriculation.
John has been married to the former Michelle Ivory, his high school sweetheart and love of his life, for 15 years. They have two beautiful daughters, Joelle (9) and Mariah (8). Pastor J (as the members lovingly call him) is honored and blessed to serve as Pastor in the same church building where his grandfather, Rev. Allen H.L. Randolph, served in the same capacity 50 years ago.
